Job Title: G.KRT Fiber Assistant Engineer

Main Job Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to execute the tasks and performance objectives associated with the
national fiber network with exceptional efficiency. This includes ensuring that all work meets the highest
technical specifications and standards required.
Duties & responsibilities:
1. Conduct all maintenance activities for the national fiber network.
2. Implement preventive maintenance measures to ensure the network’s reliability and longevity.
3. Oversee and receive work completed by contractors, ensuring compliance with stipulated
technical specifications and signing off on necessary technical certificates.
4. Actively participate in identifying and specifying the needs for materials, devices, and tools
required for workshop operations.
5. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration and operation of the fiber
network within the broader infrastructure.
6. Document all technical work and information using specialized devices and equipment.
7. Analyze the causes of faults and develop appropriate solutions to prevent recurrence.

Technical Competencies
1. Proficiency with Specialized Measuring Devices: Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on
experience with specialized optical fiber measuring devices, including OTDR, splice machines,
probes, multi-function loss testers, and power meters.
2. Problem Analysis and Resolution: Strong analytical skills to effectively diagnose and resolve
issues within the national fiber network.
3. Understanding of Transmission Network Devices: Solid understanding of national transmission
network devices, such as WDM and OSN systems.
4. Knowledge of Operator Services: In-depth knowledge of the services provided to other
operators through the national fiber network.
5. Preventive Maintenance: Expertise in implementing preventive maintenance measures to
ensure the reliability and longevity of the fiber network.
Qualifications required:
Education:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, engineering, or, Electrical.
Experience:
▪ One year 1 year
Languages:
▪ Excellent in English/Arabic (Written& Spoken)
