Main Job Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to contribute to the national fiber network operations by performing
maintenance, rehabilitation, and documentation tasks aligned with technical standards. This role also
involves developing work plans, monitoring contractor activities, and contributing to process
improvements. Additionally, train field teams, analyze faults, and collaborate across functions to enhance
network performance and operational efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities across the national fiber network to maintain
operational stability.
2. Develop detailed scopes of work and schedules for fiber rehabilitation projects, tracking progress and
resolving execution challenges.
3. Monitor contractor activities and validate technical deliverables against standard specifications and
project requirements.
4. Participate in identifying and specifying materials, tools, and equipment needed for fiber workshops and
field operations.
5. Support the technical development of field teams through hands-on training and knowledge sharing.
6. Document all technical activities using specialized devices and software, maintaining accurate records
for operational transparency.
7. Analyze fault patterns and implement solutions to reduce recurrence and improve network reliability.
8. Update fiber network data using AutoCAD and GIS tools to reflect changes and support planning.
9. Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the fiber operations domain.
10. Perform field-based tasks across national sites, demonstrating commitment and resilience in challenging
environments.
11. Track implementation of fiber projects and provide feedback to improve execution and quality.

1. Fiber Network Operations & Maintenance: Proficient in executing routine and advanced
maintenance tasks across the national fiber network using specialized tools and techniques.
2. Fault Analysis & Resolution: Skilled in identifying fault causes and applying structured solutions to
prevent recurrence and improve network reliability.
3. Project Scheduling & Execution: Ability to develop and manage work schedules and scopes for fiber
rehabilitation projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
4. Technical Documentation & GIS Mapping: Experienced in documenting technical activities and
updating fiber data using AutoCAD and GIS platforms for accurate network representation.
5. Field Equipment Operation: Competent in operating OTDR, splice machines, loss testers, and power
meters for diagnostics, testing, and restoration tasks.
6. Transmission Network Knowledge: Working knowledge of DWDM, OSN, and transmission network
extensions, supporting cross-functional collaboration and service delivery.
Qualifications:
Education A bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
5–6 years of hands-on experience in fiber network operations, maintenance, and
rehabilitation.
Certificates
Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) | AutoCAD for Telecom Network Design are
preferred.
Language Fluency in English (Written& Spoken).
