Main Job Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to manage and govern the Business Analysis function to ensure business
needs are translated into clear, structured, and high-quality functional solution designs. The role establishes
and enforces BA standards, readiness criteria, and quality controls to minimize delivery risks, avoid rework,
and ensure consistent analysis excellence across all initiatives. Additionally, develop team capabilities,
ensure requirements integrity throughout the lifecycle, and drive continuous improvement to enhance BA
maturity within the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Manage and govern the Business Analysis function across all initiatives, ensuring consistent quality,
discipline, and functional solution integrity.
2. Define, maintain, and enforce Business Analysis standards, methodologies, templates, and tools across
the department.
3. Establish and enforce clear requirements and functional solution readiness gates prior to development
execution.
4. Review and formally approve requirements packages and functional solution definitions to ensure
completeness, clarity, and implementation readiness.
5. Ensure analysis outputs are consistent, testable, traceable, and aligned with business objectives and
delivery constraints.
6. Act as the escalation authority for complex, cross-domain, or high-risk business analysis matters.
7. Oversee scope and requirement changes, assessing business impact and ensuring structured change
control.
8. Ensure end-to-end requirements traceability through design, development, testing, and UAT phases.
9. Oversee functional assessment and validation of vendor solutions to confirm alignment with approved
requirements and solution intent.
10. Safeguard business requirements throughout implementation to prevent dilution, misinterpretation, or
deviation.
11. Plan and allocate Business Analysis resources across initiatives, ensuring appropriate expertise aligns
with solution complexity.
12. Monitor workload distribution and capability coverage to prevent over-allocation and reduce single person dependency risks.
13. Coordinate closely with the Business Solutions Senior Manager and Planning & Delivery to ensure
reliable analysis inputs for solution execution and planning.
14. Drive continuous improvement of the BA function through retrospectives, quality metrics, knowledge
management, and maturity enhancements.
15. Manage, mentor, develop, the Business Analysis staff, ensuring sustained capability growth, domain
continuity, and succession readiness.

1. Telecom Domain & Systems Landscape Knowledge: Deep understanding of telecom business domains
and IT landscapes to effectively govern, challenge, and validate business analysis outcomes across
complex initiatives.
2. Business Analysis Governance: Expertise in defining, enforcing, and evolving BA standards,
methodologies, readiness criteria, and quality controls.
3. Functional Solution Design Oversight: Ability to review, challenge, and approve functional and logical
solution designs across initiatives.
4. Requirements Lifecycle & Readiness Management: Strong governance of requirements readiness,
traceability, and validation across solution development and testing phases.
5. Vendor Functional Governance & Risk Control: Oversight of functional evaluation of vendor solutions,
ensuring alignment with business needs while managing analysis-related risks.
6. Tools, Models & Analysis Techniques: Advanced proficiency in BA tools, modeling standards (such as
BPMN/UML), and documentation practices to review, challenge, and approve analysis artifacts with
confidence.
Qualifications:
Education
A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a
closely related field.
Experience
Minimum 6 – 8 years in Business Analysis, including leadership roles.
Proven experience in establishing and enforcing business analysis standards, readiness
gates, and functional solution approval processes across multiple projects.
Strong hands-on experience within complex telecom IT environments across multiple
domains, including core BSS, sales and distribution channels, customer lifecycle
management, charging and billing, roaming, interconnect, digital and value-added
services, and enterprise solutions.
Demonstrated experience in overseeing end-to-end requirements lifecycle
management, ensuring completeness, traceability, quality control, and alignment with
solution development and delivery governance.
Proven track record of resource planning, workload balancing, capability development,
and reducing dependency on single individuals within analysis functions.
Certificates
CBAP | PMI-PBA | Advanced BPMN/UML proficiency sufficient to review and approve
functional artifacts | Telecom framework knowledge such as eTOM | Awareness of
enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
Language Fluency in English (written & spoken).
