Main Job Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to support the transmission network operations by performing
maintenance, rehabilitation, and documentation tasks aligned with technical standards. This role also
involves developing work plans, validating new devices, and contributing to process improvements.
Additionally, support field teams, analyze faults, and collaborate across functions to enhance network
performance and support the company’s objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks across the transmission network using
specialized tools and procedures.
2. Prepare work quantity schedules and rehabilitation plans for transmission infrastructure and follow
up on implementation progress.
3. Participate in acceptance testing of new transmission devices and document results.
4. Contribute to identifying specifications and requirements for materials, tools, and equipment used
in transmission operations.
5. Support the technical development of field teams by sharing knowledge and assisting with handson tasks.
6. Document technical activities and fieldwork using specialized devices and software to maintain
operational records.
7. Analyze fault causes and implement solutions to reduce recurrence and improve network reliability.
8. Develop technical reports and plans to support operational decision-making and project execution.
9. Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals and maintain service quality.
10. Access and operate transmission systems using web-based tools and management platforms.

1. Transmission Network Operations & Maintenance: Proficient in executing preventive and
corrective maintenance tasks using advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies.
2. Fault Analysis & KPI Optimization: Skilled in analyzing fault causes and generating transmission KPIs
to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
3. Device Testing & Acceptance: Experienced in conducting acceptance tests for transmission
equipment and validating compliance with technical specifications.
4. Transmission Topology & Equipment Knowledge: Strong understanding of transmission network
topology across Sudan and hands-on experience with Huawei WDM and OSN devices.
5. Technical Documentation & Reporting: Competent in preparing detailed technical reports and
documenting field activities using specialized software and devices.
6. Software & System Proficiency: Advanced skills in Oracle ERP, Excel, and Huawei NCE transmission
management systems for network access, monitoring, and reporting.
Qualifications:
Education A bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Experience
3-5 years of hands-on experience in transmission network operations, maintenance, and
optimization.
Certificates Huawei Transmission Certification | OTN & Optical Transport Certification are preferred.
Language Fluency in English (Written& Spoken).
