related transmission components according to approved procedures.
2. Troubleshoot fiber faults such as cuts, high attenuation, and intermittent signal issues using OTDR,
optical power meters, and fault localization techniques.
3. Test fiber links, validate optical loss budgets, and verify signal quality following maintenance or
deployment activities.
4. Perform fusion and mechanical splicing and fiber termination activities in accordance with
technical standards and work instructions.
5. Analyze outage data, field observations, and test results to identify technical root causes and
contribute corrective recommendations.
6. Document fiber routes, splice details, test results, and maintenance activities using approved tools
and records.
7. Coordinate with project teams and contractors during fiber rollout, rehabilitation, or upgrade
works by executing assigned engineering tasks.
8. Apply safety instructions, work permits, and protective measures while conducting field activities
in live network environments.
9. Monitor fiber performance indicators and report abnormal trends or degradation to supervisors
and relevant stakeholders.
10. Support Assistant Engineers and technicians during field activities by providing technical guidance
