Main Job Purpose:
Sudaservice is committed to providing sustainable energy solutions to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises
(SMEs) and residential customers in Sudan.
The Solution Architect is a foundational member of the sales team. This role combines technical expertise,
sales enablement, and strategic management. The Solution Architect will be responsible for building a
product portfolio, training the sales force, designing tailored solutions for clients, and acting as the primary
technical liaison with customers and suppliers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Actively engage with a diverse range of international and local solar energy suppliers, including
manufacturers of solar panels, inverters, batteries, mounting systems, and other components.
2. Conduct thorough technical and financial evaluations of potential products and technologies to ensure they meet quality standards, local regulations, and customer needs.
3. Develop and maintain a comprehensive and competitive portfolio of solar energy solutions, from small residential kits to larger commercial installations, ensuring a balance of cost, performance, and
reliability.
4. Continuously monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to keep the
portfolio current and effective.
5. Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for the sales account managers, this includes
technical product exposure, high-level solution design principles, and best practices for engaging
with clients on a technical level.
6. Serve as the internal technical expert, providing ongoing support and guidance to the sales team on
complex client inquiries and project challenges.
7. Engage directly with potential clients to understand their specific energy needs, load profiles, and
operational requirements.
8. Architect and design customized solar energy solutions that are technically sound, financially viable,
and aligned with the client’s objectives.
9. Prepare detailed technical solution documents, including system layouts, energy yield calculations,
and bill of materials.
10. Deliver compelling technical presentations to customers, clearly articulating the value proposition,
system functionality, and long-term benefits of the proposed solution (including total cost of
ownership).
11. Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, addressing any technical queries or
issues throughout the sales and implementation cycle.

Technical Competencies:
1. Solar PV System Expertise: Demonstrates deep understanding of solar PV components including
monocrystalline, polycrystalline, bifacial panels; grid-tied, hybrid, off-grid, and micro-inverters; and
energy storage systems such as Lithium-ion and Lead-acid batteries.
2. Design & Simulation Software Proficiency: Proficient in using solar design and simulation tools such
as PVsyst, Helioscope, OpenSolar, and AutoCAD/PVCAD to model system performance, energy yield,
and financial returns.
3. Electrical Systems & Safety Standards: Applies solid knowledge of electrical systems, wiring
practices, and safety standards (NEC, IEC), including load calculations, system grounding, and
overcurrent protection.
4. Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge: Familiar with local and international solar energy regulations,
and certification standards.
5. Site Assessment & Feasibility Analysis: Capable of conducting site assessments to evaluate solar
potential, perform shading analysis, and assess structural integrity for mounting systems.
6. System Engineering & Documentation: Experienced in designing DC and AC wiring diagrams, single line diagrams, and preparing detailed bills of materials for solar PV systems. Additionally,
Knowledgeable in configuring hybrid systems, including generator integration and load management
strategies for off-grid applications.
7. Hybrid System Integration: Battery Sizing & Energy Storage Management: Skilled in battery sizing
and management techniques to ensure adequate energy autonomy, peak shaving, and system
reliability.
Qualifications:
Education
• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or a closely related field.
• A master’s degree (MSc) in Renewable Energy Systems, Electrical Power Engineering,
or Energy Management.
Experience
8-10 years in design and engineering job roles or project engagements in Solar energy
projects and electrical engineering projects.
Certificates
Energy Practitioner certifications: NABCEP PV Design Specialist (PVDS)| NABCEP PV
Installation Professional (PVIP)| or equivalent are preferred.
Language Fluency in the English language (Written & Spoken).
