Main Job Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to analyze, design, and optimize Packet Switched (PS) Core Network
solutions that support network scalability, service quality, technology evolution, and business growth. The role
evaluates network capacity requirements, assesses emerging technologies, develops technical planning
recommendations, and provides specialized expertise for PS core network architecture, dimensioning, and
performance optimization. Through advanced technical analysis, cross-functional collaboration, technology
assessments, and network enhancement initiatives, the role contributes directly to network readiness,
customer experience, operational efficiency, and the successful evolution of mobile core network infrastructure.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate technology evolution requirements and contribute technical recommendations to PS
core network roadmaps and business planning activities.
2. Develop and review high-level and low-level PS core network designs and technical
specifications.
3. Develop capacity expansion and resource utilization plans based on traffic forecasts, subscriber
growth, and business requirements.
4. Assess project requirements, dependencies, implementation risks, and technical constraints
and recommend mitigation actions.
5. Review and enhance policies and functional procedures to ensure efficient workflow,
operational consistency, and effective maintenance of network activities.
6. Coordinate technical planning activities with implementation, optimization, and operational
teams.
7. Conduct performance evaluations of network services and servers across all core platforms and
collaborate with vendors to address and improve degraded performance indicators.
8. Review and approve dimensioning plans, routing strategies, and signaling configurations to
support network scalability and reliability.
9. Assess and coordinate traffic migration activities and resource redistribution initiatives.
10. Analyze network KPIs, resource utilization trends, subscriber growth patterns, and performance
indicators.
11. Develop capacity dimensioning models for 2G, 3G, LTE, EPC, and 5G core platforms.
12. Develop traffic migration strategies for load balancing and efficient distribution of network
resources.
13. Dimension signaling protocols across all core network layers to ensure robust and scalable
communication infrastructure.
14. Assess numbering resource utilization and recommend allocation improvements.
15. Review marketing forecasts, subscriber projections, and service growth assumptions and assess
impacts on core network requirements.
16. Coordinate with Rollout, Engineering, IT, Service Delivery, Operations, Finance, and Commercial
teams to align network planning activities.
17. Review and evaluate technical proposals, RFP responses, and vendor solution designs.
18. Conduct feasibility studies in collaboration with internal stakeholders to define and
communicate methodologies for delivering agreed functional requirements.
19. Assess compliance of network planning activities with security standards, technology policies,
and regulatory requirements.
20. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by the line manager, contributing to
team and organizational success.

dimensioning models, and recommend expansion plans for PS core networks.
2. Mobile Core Network Architecture: Ability to design and optimize PS core network architectures
across 2G, 3G, LTE, EPC, IMS, and 5G environments.
3. Network Performance Analysis & Optimization: Ability to analyze network KPIs, identify
performance issues, and recommend optimization initiatives.
4. Capacity Forecasting & Traffic Engineering: Ability to assess growth trends and forecast future
network capacity requirements.
5. Telecom Technology Evaluation & Feasibility Analysis: Ability to evaluate emerging telecom
technologies and assess their technical and operational impact.
6. Cloud-Native Core Networks & Security: Ability to assess cloud-based core network
architectures and support secure and compliant technology deployments.
Qualifications:
Education
A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications, Computer
Engineering, Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
Experience 5-6 years of experience in closely related fields.
Certificates Huawei PS Core / EPC Certification | 5G Core Network Certification are Preferred
Language Fluency in English (Written & Spoken).
