Main Job Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to provide technical expertise in maintaining and rehabilitating
mechanical components of power systems, including diesel generators and cooling systems. This role also
involves supporting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and project activities to ensure reliable
operations and compliance with technical standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel generators and mechanical components to
maintain operational reliability.
2. Assist in overhauling and rehabilitating diesel engines and related mechanical systems to extend
equipment life.
3. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and apply corrective measures to restore
functionality.
4. Test repaired mechanical systems and document results to confirm compliance with performance
standards.
5. Analyze mechanical failures and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.
6. Prepare procurement requests for mechanical spare parts, ensuring technical compliance and timely
availability.
7. Document maintenance activities and inspection findings accurately for reporting and compliance.
8. Collaborate with electrical and power teams to support integrated maintenance and project
deployments.
9. Support acceptance testing and commissioning of mechanical systems during project deployments.

10. Contribute to technical documentation and standard operating procedures for mechanical maintenance.
11. Monitor workshop activities and report progress to supervisors for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
Education A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience
3-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and
technical support within power systems or telecom environments.
Certificates
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) | HVAC Advanced Certification |
OSHA Certification are preferred.
Language Fluency in English (Written & Spoken).
