Main Job Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to lead the execution of market research programs that translate customer,
market, and competitive data into clear insights supporting commercial and strategic decision-making.
By supervising a team of researchers, coordinating end-to-end studies, and validating research quality, the role
directly influences understanding of customer behavior, brand performance, and market dynamics. Through
disciplined execution, data interpretation, and effective communication, the role strengthens the organization’s
ability to make informed decisions that drive growth, improve customer experience, and optimize marketing
and product initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Supervise daily research activities, including questionnaire deployment, fieldwork monitoring, data
cleaning, coding, and validation.
2. Execute quantitative and qualitative research projects such as customer satisfaction (NPS), churn
analysis, brand health, usage & attitude studies, and pricing research within defined timelines.
3. Assign data analysis, scripting, reporting, and visualization tasks to researchers and analysts based on
project needs, skills, and capacity.
4. Champion team initiatives such as adopting digital research tools or automating data processes; secure resources
and organizational backing to advance team goals.
5. Coordinate with Marketing, Product, Sales, IT, and external research agencies to align research scope,
timelines, and deliverables.
6. Review research methodologies, sampling approaches, questionnaires, analysis logic, and reports before
sharing results with stakeholders.
7. Train team members on research methodologies, analytical tools (e.g., SPSS, Python), data
interpretation, and reporting standards; provide continuous coaching.
8. Collect and document objective evidence for performance appraisals, including project outcomes, skill
development, and contributions; conduct regular reviews, give constructive feedback, and set clear development
objectives using data-driven metrics.
9. Exercise judgment to address data inconsistencies, fieldwork delays, response bias, or vendor
performance issues within established research guidelines.
10. Communicate findings through presentations, dashboards, and reports, translating complex data into
clear and practical business narratives.
11. Vis Monitor adherence to research standards, data privacy requirements, and internal guidelines across
studies.
12. Support evaluation and prioritization of incoming research requests based on business urgency and
analytical effort.

Technical Competencies:
1. Research Design & Methodology: Applies strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research
methods, including survey design, sampling approaches, interviewing techniques, and study
structuring, to supervise end-to-end research execution.
2. Data Analysis & Interpretation: Applies analytical techniques to review and interpret research data,
trends, and statistical outputs using tools such as SPSS, Excel, R, Python, or similar platforms.
3. Research Quality Control & Validation: Oversees data cleaning, coding, validation checks, and
methodological accuracy across studies prior to stakeholder delivery.
4. Market Insight Generation & Business Translation: Translates research outputs into insights
relevant to marketing, product, pricing, and customer experience decisions.
5. Reporting, Visualization & Insight Communication: Develops and reviews research reports,
dashboards, and presentations that clearly communicate findings to technical and non-technical
stakeholders.
6. Research Project Execution & Vendor Coordination: Applies project execution skills to manage
timelines, deliverables, and coordination with internal teams and external research vendors.
Qualifications:
Education
A bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Telecommunications,
or a related field. Master’s Degree is Preferred (MBA or MSc in Data Science/Stats).
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in market research, with at least 1 year in a supervisory
role. Prior experience in the Telecommunications or Technology sectors is highly desirable
Certificates
CMRP: Certified Market Research Professional. PMP/Agile: Project management
certifications are a plus
Language English: Fluent (Written and Spoken) for corporate reporting.
