Main Job Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to lead the legal support function across Sudatel Group and its operating companies (Sudani). Ensure strategic alignment, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property protection. This role manages the development of legal frameworks and facilitates cross-border legal coordination. In addition, advise on complex legal matters to strengthen the Group’s legal infrastructure and safeguard its legal standing.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Develop governance policies for Sudatel’s OpCo in coordination with Group Compliance and stakeholders to ensure consistent representation and legal alignment across OpCo structures.
2. Manage Sudatel Group’s legal interests concerning its OpCos and their markets to safeguard strategic and operational priorities.
3. Interface with OpCos to ensure legal support and monitor market developments and legal issues to maintain compliance and anticipate risks.
4. Support OpCos in building relationships with governments and international institutions to strengthen regulatory positioning and strategic alliances.
5. Protect Sudatel Group’s intellectual property, advise on IPR matters, follow up on filings, and set guidelines to ensure brand integrity and legal protection across the Group and OpCos.
6. Organize the annual Legal Forum to engage OpCo legal teams and share best practices that enhance legal collaboration and performance.
7. Conduct legal research and follow up with legal institutions to report on legislative impacts and inform strategic decisions.
8. Provide proactive and reactive legal advice to all Group Functions to support decision-making and ensure legal compliance.
9. Manage legal and regulatory documents and coordinate with relevant departments to update service terms and conditions, ensuring legal clarity and operational alignment.
10. Maintain the Sector’s filing systems and record documentation to ensure traceability and regulatory readiness.
11. Assist in maintaining a Legal Affairs database and create a shared point system with IT to facilitate access to legal precedents and improve internal knowledge sharing.
12. Assist in the preparation and monitor expenditures from the Sector’s annual budgets to ensure financial accountability and resource optimization.
13. Maintain Legal Affairs fixed assets and office supplies; verify assets annually and manage additions, transfers, and write-offs to ensure accurate inventory control.
14. Perform any other related matters or assignments as directed by the Senior Chief Legal Officer, Legal General Counsel, or Director Legal to support strategic legal initiatives and operational needs.

3. Intellectual Property expertise: Skilled in managing IPR strategy, including trademark filings, brand protection, and policy alignment.
4. Contract & Document Control: Oversees the preparation, review, and management of legal documents, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and legal soundness.
5. Legal Research: Conducts in-depth legal research and monitors legislative developments to inform policy and operational decisions.
6. Legal Systems Knowledge: Ability to lead the development and maintenance of legal databases and shared systems to enhance institutional memory and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education A bachelor’s degree in law or legal studies is required. A master’s degree is preferred.
Experience 8-10 years in a legal support, paralegal, or administrative legal role, preferably in telecom or corporate law. With 3+ years in a managerial role.
Certificates Certificates in Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)|Contract Management (IACCM)| Intellectual Property Law (IPLC), and Project Management Professional (PMP) are preferred.
Language Fluency in English and Arabic (written & spoken).
