Main Job Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to lead and manage sourcing, purchasing, and contracting activities for
their assigned category (Technology). This role aligns procurement strategies with business priorities, drives
vendor performance improvements, and partners with internal stakeholders in shaping category
development. It guides category professionals through governance of procurement compliance, market
competitiveness, and cost efficiency, enabling informed decision-making and operational responsiveness.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute procurement strategies for the assigned category (Technology), supporting the
business to secure better value and strategic alignment.
2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure procurement
supports company goals.
3. Assess market trends, supplier capabilities, and category performance to boost procurement
efficiency and stay ahead of industry shifts.
4. Oversee and validate vendor registration, qualification, and performance evaluation, keeping the
supplier pool compliant and high-performance.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality, competitive
pricing, and access to innovative tech solutions.
6. Design and roll out supplier engagement strategies, including long-term partnerships and
framework agreements, to stabilize supply and reduce contract churn.
7. Lead and coordinate the purchasing and contracting process within the assigned category, ensuring
smooth operations and meeting deadlines.
8. Review and structure contracts appropriately, considering pricing models, risk factors, and legal
requirements, to ensure the company is protected and well-positioned.
9. Support and guide negotiations to secure the best value while maintaining business continuity.
10. Guarantee timely procurement execution to meet business needs without delays, keeping
operations and projects on track.
11. Conduct and present category performance reviews, including spend analysis and cost optimization
strategies, to inform smarter decisions.
12. Work closely with user departments to develop category profiles, identifying key sourcing
opportunities.
13. Provide data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
14. Supervise and mentor Category Management Professionals within the team, helping them grow and
stay aligned with company standards.
15. Ensure team members follow procurement policies and best practices, keeping things consistent
and compliant.
16. Foster collaboration between procurement, finance, legal, and user departments to ensure smooth
procurement processes.
17. Monitor the compliance of procurement activities with company policies and telecom industry
regulations, keeping everything audit-ready and above board.
18. Utilize Oracle Fusion ERP for category management, vendor tracking, and procurement operations,
making data and processes easier to manage.
19. Drive automation and digitalization initiatives within the procurement function to save time, reduce
manual work, and modernize operations.

6. ERP System Proficiency (Oracle Fusion): Utilizes Oracle Fusion ERP for category management,
vendor tracking, and procurement operations efficiently.
Qualifications:
Education
A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related
field
Experience
5-6 Years in procurement or category management, with 2+ years in a supervisory or team
lead role.
Certificates
Certificates in CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) | PMP (Project
Management Professional) are preferred.
Language Fluency in English (Written & Spoken).
